USA Hockey Team Managing Requirements Checklist
Prerequisites to Serve as a Team Manager
To ensure each team operates smoothly and maintains compliance with organizational standards, all individuals serving as Team Manager must meet the following three prerequisites:
- Complete all required registration and screening requirements
- This includes any mandatory volunteer registration steps, background checks, and approvals required by the organization and governing bodies.
- Finish all required training and certification modules
- Team Managers must complete all designated training (e.g., player safety, conduct, and any other required education modules) prior to participating in team operations.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage team communications and administrative responsibilities
- Managers must be prepared to coordinate scheduling, maintain accurate team records, communicate timely updates to families, and serve as a consistent point of contact between coaches, parents, and the organization.
