U14 BANTAM TRAVEL

The U14 Travel Hockey program is where passion meets performance. Designed for motivated young athletes, this program provides a competitive, structured environment that pushes players to elevate every aspect of their game. Through focused training and high-tempo competition, athletes develop speed, agility, and advanced skills while gaining a deeper understanding of hockey strategy. Just as important, the program instills leadership, accountability, camaraderie, and sportsmanship—ensuring players grow not only as hockey players, but as confident, disciplined teammates who respect the game, their peers, and the core values of East Haven Youth Hockey.

What ages are appropriate for this program?

This program is designed for players who are 13–14 years old.

When

What time of the year does this program run?

The program runs during the fall and winter season. The regular season begins in September and continues through February, with playoffs held in March.

Extra Costs

What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?

In addition to the standard registration fees, families should anticipate occasional team-related expenses during the season. Team Managers may collect additional funds to help cover costs such as tournament entry fees that are not included in tuition, as well as other approved team events or activities.

2 team practices per week
19 Development sessions
1 Goalie on-ice skill session per week with CT Crease

Where

Where are practices and games typically held?

Team practices and all home games are generally held at the East Haven Rink.

Away games are typically played at the opposing team’s home rink.

Games

How many games will teams play, and what days are games held?

Teams can expect to play approximately 28–50 games over the course of the season. Games are scheduled primarily on weekends, with most matchups taking place on Saturdays and Sundays.

Team Uniforms

Are jerseys provided, or are they purchased separately?

Game jerseys are required and are the responsibility of each player/family to purchase. Jerseys will be ordered through a designated vendor, which will be confirmed at the time of team commitment.
