LEARN TO SKATE (STEP 1)
The Learn to Skate curriculum is built to introduce beginner hockey players to the core fundamentals of skating. The program’s primary objective is to help new skaters develop confidence and comfort on the ice while learning essential foundational skills—proper hockey stance, stride mechanics, knee bend, edge control, and correct stick handling. By establishing these basics early, players are better prepared to transition smoothly into a structured Mite Development Program curriculum.
