U10 SQUIRT TRAVEL

PROGRAM

The U10 Hockey program focuses on building a strong foundation of essential hockey skills while introducing advanced skating techniques. Players will work on puck control, passing, and shooting through dynamic, age-appropriate drills designed to maximize engagement and development. In addition, the program emphasizes key skating fundamentals to help athletes improve balance, speed, and agility—setting the stage for continued growth and success as they advance in the game.

AGES

What aged players are appropriate for this program?

Appropriate U10 players are ages 9 and 10 who may have had least one year of Mite Travel

WHEN

What time of the year does this program run?

Season begins September and runs until playoffs in March.

EXTRA COSTS

What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?

Expect team managers to fundraise for team events or collect funds to cover tournament entry fees if team elects to enter more than 1 tournament over the season and/or team events.

WHERE

Where are practices and games typically held?

Practices and home games are held at East Haven Rink. Games may be played across CT region.

PRACTICES

When are practices and how often are they?

Teams practice 2 times per week during the weekdays.

GAMES

How many games will they play? What days of the week?

Teams will play games over the course of the season and will usually fall on both weekend days.

JERSEYS

Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?

Game jerseys are required and are paid separately to the Sporting Goods Vendor.
