U8 MITE TRAVEL
USA Hockey (the governing body of American youth hockey and the US National teams) in 2010 USA Hockey began instituting the “American Development Model” (ADM), which includes recommendations and mandated changes to U8 (Mite) level programs that wish to remain sanctioned by USA Hockey. This program is targeted for the age level players. Typically, players will have spent a year in Learn to Skate and/or Learn to Play Hockey in our in-house program.

What aged players are appropriate for this program?
Appropriate players who have completed at least one year of Learn-to-Play.
When
What time of the year does this program run?
Season begins September and runs until playoffs in March.
Extra Costs
What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?
Expect team managers to fundraising or collect funds to cover tournament entry fees.

Where
Where are practices and games typically held?
Practices and home games are held at East Haven Rink. Games may be played across CT region.
Practices
When are practices and how often are they?
Teams practice 2 times per week.
Games
How many games will they play? What days of the week?
Teams will play games over the course of the season and will usually fall on the weekends.
Jerseys
Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?
Club jerseys are required and are paid separately to the Sporting Goods Vendor.
