Crossbar Account Management - Overview

Crossbar Website Help Guide

The information below is designed to help you navigate the WWYHA website and resolve common issues. If you ever need to return to the website’s main page, simply click the Crossbar logo at the top of any page.

Log In and Sign Up

  • Log In: Use the “Log In” link to access your account.
  • Sign Up: Use “Sign Up” to create a new account if this is your first time on the site.
  • After signing up, you will receive a verification email—please follow the instructions in that email to activate your account.

Communications

All parents/guardians who want to receive team emails must create an account. Your account will also be reused in future seasons to:

  • register player(s), and
  • access additional website features described below.

Dashboard Overview

The Dashboard becomes available after you are signed in. It includes the following key sections:

Family

The Family tab lists all players and team staff connected to your email account.

Select “View Details” next to a player to see their information. From that screen, parents commonly use:

  • Edit Player
  • Correct spelling errors in the player’s name or update a birthdate if entered incorrectly.
  • Note: These changes affect the player’s information on the WWYHA website only.
  • Add Parent
  • Add another parent/guardian email address to the player’s record.
  • Note: The added parent must verify their email and create an account (if they do not already have one).
  • Add Membership
  • Add or update the player’s USA Hockey membership number in the player record.

Profile

The Profile tab allows parents (and team staff) to update account information, including:

  • name (fix typos),
  • phone number,
  • email address, and
  • password.

Important: If you update your email address, you must complete the verification steps sent to the new email address. You will not receive emails until the new address is verified.

Team Staff Note: If a coach/manager’s name is incorrect on the team website, it should be updated here.

Family Calendar

The Family Calendar is available once you are logged in. It displays schedules for:

  • every player associated with your email address, and
  • the parent account if the parent is registered as Team Staff.

Important notes:

  • A player must be registered and assigned to a team for their schedule to appear.
  • If you are not the registering parent, the registering parent must add your email to the player’s record using Add Parent (see above).

iCal Calendar Sync

To sync the schedule to your phone:

  1. Open Family Calendar
  2. Select “CALENDAR FEED”
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to subscribe via iCal

Troubleshooting: Family Calendar / iCal

If you don’t see schedules or the calendar feed isn’t working, check:

  • Do you have your own WWYHA website account set up with your email?
  • Are you logged in?
  • Is your account associated with each player you need to view?
  • The registering parent must add your email under Add Parent for each player.

Crossbar FAQs

1) How do I view the payment plan details we selected?

  1. Log in (must be the registering parent).
  2. Select Dashboard (upper-left).
  3. Select Family.
  4. Click View Details next to your player’s name.
  5. Scroll to Registration History and select View Details.

You’ll see payment amounts and scheduled dates. Payments are processed automatically on those dates, and it may take a couple of days to appear on your credit card statement.

2) How do I change or add a credit card for my child’s registration?

If a payment fails due to an expired card or replacement card, please update your payment method as soon as possible:

  1. Log in.
  2. Select Dashboard (upper-left).
  3. Select Family.
  4. Click View Details next to your child’s name.
  5. Scroll to Registration History.
  6. Click View Details for the program with remaining payments.
  7. Click Edit next to the card information for the next installment and enter the updated card details.

3) I’m the registering parent. How do I add a spouse/stepparent/grandparent so they can see the schedule on their Family Calendar?

  1. Log in (must be the registering parent).
  2. Select Dashboard (upper-left).
  3. Select Family.
  4. Click View Details next to your player’s name.
  5. At the top of the player details screen, click “+ Add Parent”.
  6. Enter the email address and select Add Parent.

What happens next:

  • If the person already has an account, they’ll be added immediately.
  • If they do not have an account, they’ll receive a verification email and must:
  • verify the email,
  • create an account (name, password, phone number).

They will be associated with the player once account creation is complete.

Troubleshooting

  • I can’t log in.
  • Use Sign Up (upper-left) to create an account.
  • Sign Up says my email already has an account.
  • Use Forgot Password to reset it.
  • If you don’t receive the reset email, check your Spam/Junk folder first. If it still doesn’t arrive, contact the registrar for assistance or to have Crossbar manually verify/reset the account.
  • I’m logged in, but I don’t see my child’s schedule on the Family Calendar.
  • Ask the registering parent to add you as a parent under the player’s record (Add Parent).

How do I change my email address or password?

  1. Log in.
  2. Select Dashboard (upper-left).
  3. Select Profile (left-hand menu).
  4. Scroll to the Email or Password section.
  5. Update your information and click Save.

Important: Any new email address must be verified via the email sent to that address. If verification is not completed, your account may not receive emails and may require Crossbar support to resolve.

What email address does system-generated messages come from?

System emails (password resets, account verification, activation links) are sent from:

accounts@crossbar.org

Please add this address to your safe sender list and/or adjust spam filters to ensure messages are not missed.

Confirm Delete
Click the delete icon again to confirm. Click escape to cancel.
