EHYH Player Code of Conduct
EHYH Player Code of Conduct
Purpose
To ensure all players demonstrate respect, responsibility, and sportsmanship while representing their team and community both at their home rink and when visiting other facilities.
Player Expectations
- Respect people and property: Treat teammates, coaches, officials, rink staff, and all facility property with care and courtesy.
- Keep facilities clean: Leave locker rooms, bench areas, and all other spaces clean and organized. Dispose of trash, keep gear neat, and return areas to their original condition. Remember—you are representing your home rink, and when visiting other rinks you are their guest.
- No running inside the facility, hallways, or locker rooms.
- No squirting water on others, the floor, walls, or equipment.
- No laying hands on others: No pushing, shoving, grabbing, or any physical contact outside of safe, sport-related play.
- No foul, abusive, or discriminatory language toward anyone.
- No horseplay: No stick swinging, puck shooting, mini-games, or roughhousing in locker rooms, halls, or bench areas.
- Music by coach approval only, at respectful volume, with clean content.
- Safety first: Use skate guards when walking off rubber mats; do not walk in skates on hard surfaces without guards.
- Sportsmanship: Accept coaching, play hard, support teammates, and show respect to officials and opponents.
